Your historic residence
You will stay in a truly unique historic villa: the residence built in 1771 by the Marquis Onofrio del Grillo in Fabriano, his birthplace, where he spent the final years of his life.
A figure celebrated for his wit and unconventional spirit — made even more iconic by the film Il Marchese del Grillo — the Marquis lives on in the authentic atmosphere of this remarkable residence.
Today, the villa is a welcoming historic home, where you will be hosted by Mario and his team for an experience of relaxation, fine food and authenticity in the heart of the Marche region.

Day 1 – Fabriano, the city of paper
Welcome to Fabriano, a town that symbolises centuries of papermaking tradition, refined here and made famous throughout Europe thanks to the invention of the watermark.
The day begins in the historic centre, where you will discover the story of this ancient craft and its deep connection with the local territory.
Together with a master papermaker, you will enjoy a hands-on and immersive experience: creating your own Fabriano watermark and engaging directly with a craft passed down through generations.
A truly immersive moment that allows you to experience Fabriano in an active and engaging way.
Relaxation & wellness in the villa
In the afternoon, return to the historic villa, once the residence of the Marquis Onofrio del Grillo, now the perfect place to slow down and recharge.
Here you will enjoy a wellness experience in close contact with nature, changing with the seasons:
During the colder months: a wellness journey through fire, wood and water — relaxation areas with fire pits, panoramic wooden saunas and wood-heated Finnish tubs for an outdoor warm bath
During the warmer months: relaxation by the swimming pool and in the villa’s park
On request, you can also enjoy the exclusive treatment “Nuvola – the paper bath”, a unique ritual created with a local master papermaker: cellulose suspended in water through gentle hydromassage softly caresses the skin, leaving a deep sense of well-being.
The day ends with a tasting dinner at the villa’s restaurant, offering a full immersion into the flavours of the region.
Day 2 – Discovering the Fabriano Apennines
After a generous breakfast, the day is dedicated to exploring the surrounding territory.
