From Ancona to Portonovo by e-bike

DEPARTURE
You will set off from the city of Ancona on your e-bike and immediately reach a panoramic viewpoint from which you can enjoy the view of the city from above.
The app or your guide will briefly tell you about the history of this city older than Rome!

THE COUNTRYSIDE BEGINS
You will continue the route by crossing a short gravel road that marks the edge of the city and beyond which you will see the countryside open up!

THE CYCLE TRAIL
You will arrive at the access point of the Conero cycle trail, a brand new cycle path connecting Ancona to Portonovo, the most representative bay of the Conero Riviera.

THE SEA AS AN ARRIVAL POINT
You will enter the Conero cycle path and ride along it through cultivated fields of cereals and sunflowers, olive groves and vineyards for the production of the famous Rosso Conero wine until you reach the panoramic terrace overlooking the bay of Portonovo.
Let yourself be excited by the view and continue down the road that will lead you to the seashore.
A break for a splash in these crystal-clear waters is a must!

On the way back, you will retrace the Conero cycle trail and make a diversion to Matteo and Francesca’s farm, a place of peace and hospitality.
This farm originated on family property where Montepulciano grapes were grown and sold to produce Rosso Conero wine.
In the 2000s, Matteo, after completing his studies in oenology, started producing high quality wine in his own winery.
Today, the winery is a reference point for Rosso Conero in the Conero Natural Park.

THE VISIT
You will set off on a guided walk through the vineyards to learn about the vine varieties and cultivation techniques; you will discover the other activities of the winery, which include the cultivation of lavender and olive trees and the production of honey; you will immerse yourself in this bucolic landscape to rediscover serenity.

REWARDS
It will soon be time to taste the farm’s wines in the shade of a small farm wood.
The tasting will also be your well-deserved lunch break with local products prepared with love for you!

Later on you will visit two more iconic places in the city of Ancona and be guided inside an ancient city fort to discover its history and arrive at the fishermen’s caves that characterise Ancona’s Passetto.

This experience ends here, but you will take with you a beautiful memory of this special day discovering Ancona, the Conero Park countryside, and Portonovo Bay.
