Your guide
In the Fabriano Apennines, in a quiet corner of unspoilt nature, you will be welcomed by Luca, a young organic farmer and beekeeper who has turned his passion into a lifelong project.
Since childhood, he has breathed a love for the land and nature thanks to his family. After a technical and university education, a single lecture revealed to him a fascinating and perfect world — that of the bees. From that moment, everything changed. Luca decided to devote himself entirely to farming and beekeeping, guided by the principles of sustainability and respect for the environment.
Today, he enthusiastically and dedicatedly runs his organic farm, where he produces artisanal honey, cereals, and legumes.
THE EXPERIENCE – VISIT PROGRAMME
The experience begins with a warm welcome at the farm, where Luca will introduce you to the story of his agricultural project and his vision of regenerative farming: not just honey, but also cereals and flours cultivated with respect for the land and biodiversity.
Then comes the moment to put on the beekeeper’s outfit and become a beekeeper for a day, wearing your yellow suit and protective veil! It’s time to walk to the apiary and immerse yourself in the incredible world of the bees.
At the apiary, let yourself be surrounded by the buzzing of the bees in an authentic experience at the heart of nature.
We will open the hives to observe the busy and perfectly organised life of the colony: from the tireless worker bees to the queen, including the drones and young nurse bees. Every movement tells a story of balance and collaboration, which we will explore with Luca’s guidance.
During the visit, you will also discover all the precious products of the hive: honey, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, and beeswax. You will learn how they are produced, their purpose, and how the beekeeper collects them with full respect for the bees and their natural rhythms.
You will have the opportunity to see how the bees store honey and how the beekeeper monitors the health of the colonies and the quality of the products.
And the experience continues with a tasty break!
Finally, it’s time to taste the farm’s organic honeys.
Seated outdoors or in the tasting room, depending on the season, you can savour monofloral and wildflower honeys, discovering how the local landscape and blooms influence their colour, aroma, and flavour. Each tasting tells the story of a different corner of the Marche Apennines.
The tasting becomes a small sensory journey: from acacia to coriander, from thistle to alfalfa, and even rare and prized varieties, selected and used by Michelin-starred restaurants.
The honey is paired with seasonal cheeses and fruit to enhance its aromatic and flavour notes. Between tastings, there’s time for questions, curiosities, and the chance to take home a jar as a sweet memento of an authentic experience deeply connected to nature.
