TRAVEL JOURNAL

DAY 1

On the way to the Aso Valley, we suggest a visit to Fermo, an ancient city of Roman origins and an important medieval centre, renowned for its beautiful Piazza del Popolo and its impressive Roman cisterns, among the best preserved in Europe. Continuing towards the coast, it is also worth stopping in Torre di Palme, a charming medieval village perched above the sea, with stone alleyways, ancient churches and breathtaking views over the Adriatic.

Check-in at the agriturismo and time to relax.

DAY 2

After breakfast at the agriturismo, the day continues with a visit to Montefiore dell’Aso, one of the most authentic villages in the Piceno area. This will not be a simple visit, but a true immersion into the heart of the village, among local traditions, flavours and history.

The experience begins with the evocative discovery of “wine in the cave”, a unique underground space carved into the rock where wine is naturally stored and aged, following ancient techniques that enhance local production and reflect the deep connection with the territory.

More information here: Montefiore dell’Aso: Cave-Aged Wine Experience and Panoramic Tasting

Continuing with a guided panoramic walk through the village’s narrow streets, accompanied by a local guide who will reveal hidden corners, charming views and the history of :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}, leading you to a typical osteria in the historic centre.

Here you will enjoy an authentic culinary experience: a cooking class dedicated to *olive all’ascolana*—the famous stuffed and fried green olives typical of Le Marche—and *cremini marchigiani*, small cubes of sweet custard made with milk, egg yolk and aromas, breaded and fried, a true symbol of local culinary tradition.

The morning concludes with a tasting of the wines produced in the cave, served alongside the olives and other local dishes on the osteria’s panoramic terrace, where the view opens out towards the Adriatic Sea.

Free afternoon to visit other villages. Let yourself be inspired by our suggestions.

DAY 3

The morning begins with an excellent breakfast and an early wake-up call!
It will be well worth it, as you will enjoy another immersive experience and become cheesemakers for a day!
You will get to know a small farm-based dairy and, by actively taking part in farm life, discover the entire process—from milking to cheese production and ageing.
Full details of the experience are available here: Cheesemaker for a day!

After the tasting/lunch that concludes the experience, you will head to the village of :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} to check into your new accommodation.

You will have time to visit the village and its fortress, and enjoy some relaxation in the terraced garden of this small boutique hotel.

DAY 4

After breakfast at the hotel, you will discover :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}, the capital of the province and the ancient capital of the Piceno people.
You will explore the “travertine city” and its Piazza del Popolo (considered by many to be one of the most beautiful squares in Italy), uncovering the layered history of a town with pre-Roman origins that today shines through its remarkable medieval heritage.
A guided tour is available on request.
Before leaving the city, we recommend discovering another local treasure: the single-varietal extra virgin olive oil made from the Ascolana Tenera olive.
More information here: Olive ascolane cooking class!
Return to the hotel in the evening.

DAY 5

The final day of this wonderful journey has arrived, but there are still adventures to enjoy!
After breakfast at the hotel, we recommend heading towards the coast. Here you can explore the magnificent :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}, where wild sand dunes stretch out in front of the sea.
