You will discover some of the city’s most hidden gems, while your guide will share their love for Rome through the exploration of its secret corners and the stories of the legionaries, emperors and artists who have shaped its history. You can choose from three itineraries, suitable for different levels and preferences

1) Grand Tour of the Appian WayAmong catacombs, monumental tombs, ancient Roman roads, underground labyrinths, Roman aqueducts and the stunning backdrop of the Roman countryside!

Perfect for history lovers looking for unusual stories and fascinating anecdotes about the Eternal City!

Distance: approximately 15 km

Elevation gain: approximately 50 m

Duration: approximately 4 hours

Level: easy

This guided tour starts in the heart of Rome’s Appian Way. We will cycle along the basalt paving stones of this ancient Roman road and discover its fascinating history.

We will hear stories and anecdotes about the ancient inhabitants of Rome, starting from the monumental tombs that line the road, with the fields of the Roman countryside stretching out in the background.

We will cross a local farm and meet sheep grazing in the countryside.

We will then reach the impressive Aqueducts Park, where Roman arches create elegant silhouettes against the sky, and discover more about the ancient water management system of Rome.

The tour ends with an underground visit, where we will explore either the famous Catacombs or the Underground Labyrinth (an old stone quarry full of mysteries and fascinating stories waiting to be discovered).

2) The Great Ride: from the Appian Way to Castel GandolfoThe ultimate tour for those looking for a day trip outside the city!

Perfect for those looking for a full-day cycling experience and the chance to dedicate a day to discovering one of the most famous towns of the Castelli Romani by e-bike.

Distance: approximately 30 km

Elevation gain: approximately 300 m

Duration: approximately 6 hours

Level: intermediate

We start from the urban section of the Appian Way. We will cycle away from the city traffic, immersed in the Roman countryside, passing medieval towers and the remains of ancient imperial villas.

Leaving the plain behind, we will use our e-bikes to tackle the scenic climb towards the Castelli Romani, until we reach the peaceful oasis of Castel Gandolfo.

Here, we will stroll through the medieval village overlooking Lake Albano and admire the exterior of the Papal Palace.

We will enjoy a well-deserved lunch break in a typical local fraschetta or traditional tavern, tasting the genuine flavours and products of the Castelli Romani.

The return to Rome? Easy and comfortable by train, relaxing while enjoying the landscape from a different perspective.

3) Unusual Rome and the magical Coppedè DistrictAn urban itinerary completely immersed in greenery, perfect for those who want to discover a lesser-known but truly fascinating side of Rome!

Distance: approximately 13 km

Elevation gain: approximately 50 m

Duration: approximately 3.5 hours

Level: easy

Starting from the Lungotevere, we will spend 90% of the time cycling through Rome’s beautiful parks and green spaces, as well as along the Tiber cycle path.

We will ride through the tree-lined avenues and small lakes of Villa Borghese and Villa Ada, admiring historic buildings and neoclassical temples along the way.

The true hidden gem of the tour will be our visit to the Coppedè District: a surreal and fairytale-like corner of Rome, where an extravagant mix of Art Nouveau and Art Deco will leave you speechless in front of the Fountain of the Frogs and its enchanting buildings.
