Visit to the beekeeping farm: half a day as a beekeeper!

SUGGESTED OUTFIT: closed toe shoes are mandatory, better if high, that cover the ankle, and long trousers.
In any case, beekeeping overalls, trousers and gloves will be provided for the visit to the apiary.

Marco will accompany you on this journey to discover the world of bees. One guy who is passionately dedicated to the breeding of bees and the collection of beehive products. Products, yes, it is not just honey!

THE EXPERIENCE - VISIT PROGRAM

VISIT TO THE APIARY

The transformation into beekeepers begins! Once you’ll have protective overalls and gloves on, Marco will take you to the “house” of the bees and explain the complex mechanisms of life in their society.

You will understand the wise and incredible work that bees do and the importance of a proper farm management.

You will see and touch with your hand the different products of the hive and discover their origin and function.

VISIT TO THE LABORATORY

After witnessing the tireless work of bees, we’ll move to the laboratory.

Here is where the hectic activities of the beekeeper take place and it is in this place where to process the products of the hive for human consumption.

You will be able to extract and pot the honey itself (from mid-June to the end of July), to be enjoyed on any occasion!

PRICE:

starting from 35 € per person

The fee includes:

• Visit of the beekeeping company
• Activities in the apiary and in the laboratory
• Jar of honey
• Overalls, trousers and gloves provided for the visit to the apiary

The fee does not include:

• Transfers to and from the farm
• Extras and everything that is not described in the section "The fee includes"

In order to ensure the availability of the experience, it is necessary to book at least 3 days in advance.

The prices indicated refer to groups of at least 5 participants.

The visit is open to all, including the disabled, although with some limitations. Explain your specific needs to evaluate any particular situations.
